Svetlana. Seagulls at lunch time.These two pictures were taken in fast shutter speed 1/1600. F 5.3. ISO 400. I used fast sutter speed to freeze the action and have sharp images of the birds.

  1. Svetlana, there is nothing "Beyong the Basics" about that double seagull picture. What are you going to do when we get to the intermediat class? This is beautiful. Not just the lucky placement of the birds, either, but the beautiful rich colors--their feet and the vivid sky. Did you use a polarizing lens to get those colors? I am not having this much luck myself at getting the crisp detailed focus of living things in motion. Are you using a tripod as well?
